Deborah Tang's practice focuses on complex cross-border disputes and covers arbitration, litigation, and investigations.
Deborah advises multinational corporations and financial institutions on disputes, investigations, and crisis management situations across Asia and beyond. Her practice spans internal and external‑facing investigations, complex commercial and fraud litigation, and contentious multijurisdictional issues.
Her experience includes acting for financial institutions and global clients in cross-border disputes, leading internal and external-facing investigations, and advising clients on restructuring, risk management, and regulatory issues.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2024, Deborah was a magistrate and assistant registrar in the Supreme Court of Singapore where she heard cases in the General Division of the High Court across a wide range of subjects, with a concentration in banking, finance, and construction disputes. Deborah also assisted in legal policy and reform initiatives, including projects in the Singapore International Commercial Court.
Deborah also previously served as a law clerk for the Chief Justice and Judges in the Supreme Court of Singapore and was a deputy public prosecutor and state counsel in the Attorney-General's Chambers.
