Ken Saurajen is one of Australia's most renowned and distinguished technology, digital transactions, and commercial projects lawyers. With landmark deals recognized in all major legal directories, Ken has a formidable reputation for the design and execution of "first of a kind," high-stakes technology and commercial IP mandates in Australia and in the Asia-Pacific region, innovative contracting styles, and the delivery of complex TMT (telecommunications, media, technology) projects for which little-to-no prior precedent exists.

Ken's track record includes marquee private and public sector engagements that have shaped Australian industry, spanning financial services, software, health care, telecommunications, media, transport, utilities, payments, and infrastructure.

Ken's prior experience includes advising Australia's largest retail and investment banks on critical systems replacements and Australia's first general ledger migration into a cloud environment; revolutionizing NSW's (New South Wales) high-value ICT (information and communication technology) procurement framework; negotiating Asia's first-ever active radio access network and operating frequency spectrum sharing arrangement; advising on a transformative $1.2 billion unification of Australia's legacy civil and military air traffic control systems; and negotiating the Department of Defence's $1 billion contract for leading-edge network services.

Ken's industry contributions include advocacy for an adaptive, risk-based approach to new technologies, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and cyber-governance. In 2026, Ken was appointed by Australia's Attorney-General to review and chair consultations into the future of identity verification services in Australia.

Ken previously served as an elected director of a large Australian law firm, the head of its national technology law practice, and a partner-in-charge of its Sydney office. Ken also formerly practiced as a commercial law barrister at the Sydney Bar.
