Abby Stout represents clients in complex civil litigation from trial to appeal. A former Department of Justice (DOJ) official, she has handled more than two dozen arguments in federal district courts and courts of appeals across the country.

Abby returned to Jones Day after serving in the Justice Department's Civil Division, where she gained substantial experience managing high-profile challenges to government action from complaint to final disposition. In government and private practice, Abby has drafted briefs on a wide range of constitutional, statutory, and administrative law issues and has been a member of multiple trial teams.

Earlier in her career, Abby served as a judicial law clerk at the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the Supreme Court of Georgia.
