David Phillips focuses his work on appellate advocacy and complex civil litigation. Before joining Jones Day in 2021, David served as a law clerk to Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. of the United States Supreme Court, Judge Laurence H. Silberman of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, and Judge Steven M. Colloton of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. David also worked at a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education start-up before law school.
