Will Leathers represents clients in complex litigation in federal and state courts. He has experience in subject matters including the Controlled Substances Act (CSA), the False Claims Act (FCA), antitrust law, and toxic torts.

Will focuses on cases against the federal government and in multiplaintiff litigation. He has represented clients in litigation and investigations involving the Consumer Protection Bureau (CPB), the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). He also has defended clients in a mass tort lawsuit and multidistrict litigations.

In addition, he helps clients comply with complex legal obligations. Will has experience counseling clients about compliance with settlement agreements, injunctive-relief terms, and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) regulations.

Will maintains an active pro bono practice. He represents clients in asylum proceedings before immigration judges and the Board of Immigration Appeals.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Will served as a law clerk for Judge Jennifer Walker Elrod of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. While in law school at The University of Texas, he worked with the Supreme Court and the Law and Religion clinics.
