Markus Ledwina is qualified as a lawyer in three jurisdictions and advises clients in cross-border M&A and private equity projects, business restructurings, and venture capital investments.
Markus has worked on large corporate deals, including SAP's sale of its content as a service (CaaS) business to Verisk, SAP's formation of the joint venture SAP Fioneer, Nissan in connection with the global restructuring of Takata resulting from worldwide recalls of PSAN airbag inflators, Cardinal Health's acquisition of J&J's Cordis business, P&G and its acquisition of the consumer health business of Merck, MAHLE's acquisition of Delphi's thermal division, and Compagnie Plastic Omnium in its acquisition of the Automotive Lighting Systems business from OSRAM.
In addition, Markus's experience in many other automotive and technology matters include the sale of various MAHLE businesses (industrial filtration, forging activities, and thermostats); Plastic Omnium's investment in Swiss Hydrogen; The Timken Company and its acquisition of BEKA Lubrication, GGB Bearing Technology, and other businesses; ITT's divestiture of Wolverine Advanced Materials; ACI's acquisition of payment solution provider PAY.ON; Corsair Gaming in its acquisition of Endor's business (including Fanatec) around input devices for simulations and game consoles; and the acquisition of and later exit from Meona (clinical software) by EMERAM Capital Partners.
Markus also represents Riverside, the Nordson Corporation, and IAC.
Markus is a member of the German Bar, the State Bar of California, The Law Society (England & Wales), the German-American Lawyers' Association, the German-British Lawyers' Association, and Phi Delta Phi — Richard v. Weizsäcker Inn.
Markus is co-editor-in-chief of C.H.Beck's publication Corporate Laws of the World (Gesellschaftsrecht des Auslands in Einzeldarstellungen), a comprehensive handbook covering the corporate law regime in 50 jurisdictions.
