Lauren Kim focuses her intellectual property practice on patent litigation before district courts. She represents leading pharmaceutical clients in enforcing their intellectual property rights through Hatch-Waxman and other patent infringement actions. Lauren's litigation experience includes pre-lawsuit investigations, discovery, motion practice, pretrial proceedings, and trial.
With her experience in trial and arbitration, Lauren is knowledgeable in all phases of litigation. Her litigation experience includes analyzing patent portfolios for assertion, infringement and validity positions, drafting discovery requests and responses, managing fact discovery, working with technical experts, preparing fact witnesses for trial, taking fact and expert depositions, drafting motions and briefs, and preparing other trial exhibits.
Prior to law school, Lauren worked as a primary cell biologist and as a piano teacher. Lauren is committed to giving back to the community as vice chair of the Asian American Bar Association of New York's intellectual property committee and as a member of the Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York's gala committee.
