Yasmine Hajjaji's practice focuses on cross-border commercial disputes in litigation and arbitration. Her experience spans a range of areas including antitrust, unfair business practices, class actions, international torts, securities, and copyright. Yasmine also has assisted clients with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) investigations.
Yasmine has represented clients in federal court throughout various stages of litigation, including drafting pleadings and motions, leading discovery efforts, as well as preparing fact witnesses for depositions and expert witnesses for trial. Yasmine also has experience with commercial international arbitrations, including representing a client before the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) for which she drafted various memorials.
As part of her practice, Yasmine regularly evaluates claims under foreign law, including English, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi, and German substantive and procedural laws.
In addition, Yasmine has advised clients throughout alternative dispute resolution mechanisms such as negotiation, mediation, and arbitration, including under the Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services (JAMS) rules and procedures.
Yasmine maintains an active pro bono practice, which includes representing a client under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction in federal court.
