For more than 12 years, Marta de Cara has advised and represented corporations and financial institutions in a wide range of civil and commercial matters, in arbitration and in judicial proceedings. Her experience is primarily in the construction and energy sectors related to large-scale civil engineering projects, damage claims, disputes arising from mergers and acquisitions, director liability, commercial conflicts, distribution, agency, franchising, and disputes involving banking contracts and intellectual and industrial property rights.

Marta has participated in judicial proceedings before Spanish courts at all levels, including the Supreme Court. She also has served as counsel in numerous national and international arbitration processes. She has been involved in both ad hoc and institutional arbitrations. Her arbitration experience includes proceedings conducted under UNCITRAL (United Nations Commission on International Trade Law) and ICC (International Chamber of Commerce) Rules, as well as investment arbitrations before the World Bank (ICSID), related to the construction, transport/infra, and energy transition sectors.

In addition, Marta has worked on criminal proceedings related to economic crimes and insolvency proceedings.

She is a member of the Madrid Bar Association, the Spanish and Ibero-American Arbitration Club (CEIA), and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CiArb).
