Rob McNabb has more than 20 years of experience in construction law, with a focus on the energy and infrastructure sectors. Rob has advised on the development and construction of major UK and international infrastructure assets with a particular focus on the energy arena. Rob has advised on matters across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia.
Rob has extensive experience guiding clients on new technologies, utilizing new procurement and financing structures. Prior to joining Jones Day in 2025, Rob was the lead lawyer on the procurement and construction of the first utility scale wind project in Africa, the construction and financing of the first utility scale solar project to be constructed in the Middle East, and numerous new clean thermal technologies.
Rob regularly advises clients on their strategy for the construction and financing of major infrastructure projects and provides ongoing support during the life cycle of projects helping clients manage issues arising during and post-construction. Rob is often asked to be part of client's strategic leadership teams on major projects.
Rob is frequently asked to speak on industrywide issues and has spoken at conferences across the United Kingdom as well as in Dubai, Cairo, New York, Riyadh, Singapore, Taipei, Nairobi, Johannesburg, Paris, Islamabad, Amman, and Abu Dhabi. Rob has been involved in the drafting of various industry standard forms of construction contracts.
