Spencer Castilla represents clients in complex commercial disputes, including internal investigations and high-stakes litigation in a variety of industries. His day-to-day work includes preparing witnesses, managing discovery, and coordinating trial logistics. He also has experience in energy regulatory matters and monitoring key legal developments in the food and beverage industry.

Spencer is actively engaged in pro bono matters. He is a contributor to Jones Day's initiative to combat human trafficking and is involved in organizing the Start Anew Clinic in Houston, Texas, which provides resources to meet the immediate needs of survivors of trafficking and domestic violence. Spencer counseled the Houston Host Committee for the FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) Fan Festival 2026, where he built the intake and triage process and addressed legal issues raised by worker and attendee complaints. He also oversees corporate governance matters, with a particular focus on privacy issues.

Prior to law school, Spencer worked as a substitute teacher in the public school system in Madison County, Mississippi.
