Vishal Khatri is an intellectual property lawyer with more than 15 years of experience representing clients in high-stakes, bet-the-company patent litigation and procurement matters. He routinely represents clients in matters before U.S. district courts, the United States International Trade Commission (ITC), and the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), including inter partes review (IPR) proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). He also has advised clients regarding enforcement practices before U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Whether counseling clients in developing and maintaining their strategic international patent portfolios, preparing their portfolios for litigation, or litigating against marketplace competitors, clients value Vishal's ability to develop a comprehensive strategy targeted toward achieving their business objectives. He has successfully obtained hundreds of patents (including design patents) for clients, many of which have been successfully litigated, licensed, or sold. He also counsels clients on litigation avoidance strategies and intellectual property due diligence in connection with product launch, financing, acquisition, and public offering transactions.

Vishal has experience with technologies such as wired and wireless communications, cellular device technologies, GPS, databases, cryptography, memory devices, LEDs, television transmission and display, ASIC fabrication and packaging, computer networking, medical devices, optics, consumer electronics, automotive technologies, and personal care products.

Prior to beginning his legal career, Vishal designed power plants, developed software solutions for the federal government, and optimized cellular networks. He is a member of the International Trade Commission Trial Lawyers Association (ITCTLA) and the PTAB Bar Association and a regular contributor to the Firm's ITC and PTAB blogs.
