Sophie Hagège advises clients in multijurisdictional mergers and acquisitions, frequently involving complex acquisition structures, and has been the principal lawyer on a number of highly leveraged transactions. Her experience extends to the creation of joint ventures, strategic alliances, significant commercial and industrial agreements, and strategic outsourcing projects. Sophie also has experience in climate change projects (particularly in the implementation of CDM projects and emission trading issues resulting from the Kyoto Protocol) and the handling of environmental issues in M&A transactions. She is Partner-in-Charge of the Paris Office.

Sophie is very active in the chemical and life science sectors. She represented Rhodia as its principal outside counsel in connection with its disposition and restructuring program since 1994, including the disposition of its acetic acid, soda ash, polyester, gallium, food, latex, and silicon businesses, and advised Novartis, Sanofi-Aventis, and Stallergenes in various M&A projects. She also has considerable experience representing clients in the telecommunications sector. Sophie regularly advises U.S. multinationals on their investments in Europe and is also very active in projects involving China. She assists Chinese clients with their investments in France as well as French companies in China.

Sophie is a member of the board of directors of the American Chamber of Commerce (ACC) in Paris.
