Stephanie Parker is a trial attorney who specializes in the defense of product liability cases. For the past several years, Stephanie has defended R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in numerous smoking and health cases, including serving as lead trial counsel in several jury trials.
Stephanie has also served clients in the chemical, pharmaceutical, gasoline, medical device, and automotive industries regarding product liability matters. Stephanie has defended other "high-profile" cases, including Ferguson v. Georgia Pacific (toxic tort), U.S. v. Sheriff Richard Lankford (public corruption), and U.S. v. Daniel Paradies (public corruption). She has extensive experience in managing nationwide discovery in several multiple plaintiff, multiple court cases.
Stephanie is a Master of the American Inns of Court (Bleckley Inn) and has served on the Bar Council of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia (Chair, Local Rules Committee). She is a member of The American Law Institute. Stephanie is the past Chair of the Product Liability Section and the Federal Courts Liaison Committee of the State Bar of Georgia. She was a member of the Board of the Institute of Continuing Legal Education, the Georgia Supreme Court's Blue Ribbon Commission on the Judiciary, and the Federal Court Magistrate Judge's Selection Committee.
In addition, Stephanie is active in the community. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Atlanta. She has served on the Boards of the Girl Scout Council of Northwest Georgia, Vanderbilt University School of Law, Georgia State University School of Law, and Wesleyan College. She is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta and Leadership Georgia. Stephanie was featured in Georgia Trend magazine as one of its "Women in Business" and on its list of the best lawyers in Georgia, and The Wall Street Journal has written about several of her cases. She has been selected as one of Georgia's "Super Lawyers" by Atlanta magazine for the last five years and was named one of the "Top 50 Women Attorneys" in the state. She is also listed in Who's Who Legal and The Best Lawyers in America.
