Pat Leddy practices primarily in the mergers and acquisitions area, where he represents public and private companies in a broad range of industries. He regularly handles transactions of all sizes (from multibillion dollar deals to those valued at $100 million or less). He has extensive experience in handling a wide variety of U.S. and cross-border acquisition transactions. Representative clients in recent public matters include Parker Hannifin, Timken, Roadway, J.M. Smucker, Allen Telecom, and Federated Department Stores. He also works with other public companies, including KeyCorp, RPM International, Sky Financial/Huntington Bank, STERIS, and Harsco Corporation.
Pat also has extensive experience representing clients in private equity and leveraged buyout transactions. He has recently worked with ERICO Holding, GA-Tek, Ranpak, Federated, Francisco Partners, Citicorp Venture Capital, First Atlantic Capital, and JP Morgan Partners LLC on those types of transactions.
In addition to his work in the M&A area, Pat handles securities and general corporate matters, including public and private securities offerings.
Pat is a member of the Negotiated Acquisitions Committee of the American Bar Association's Business Law Section, which is comprised of M&A specialists from across the U.S. and Canada. He serves on the Task Force on Acquisitions of Public Companies, the Subcommittee on Recent Judicial Developments, and the M&A Market Trends Subcommittee. He also speaks on mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance matters. He is listed in the Ohio Super Lawyers for mergers and acquisitions for 2005, 2006, and 2008.
