Jörg Hladjk's practice focuses on European cybersecurity and data protection matters. He leads the Cybersecurity, Privacy & Data Protection Practice in Brussels.

He advises multinational clients across all industry sectors on a wide range of activities, including data protection audits, compliance strategies for international data transfers and their implementation, notification and approval procedures with national data protection authorities across the EU, data protection compliance programs, and data security breaches. Jörg frequently manages and leads international compliance projects and coordinates advice across multiple jurisdictions. He has particular experience in implementing EU Standard Contractual Clauses and Binding Corporate Rules.

Jörg has recently advised a major U.S-based software company on its offering of cybersecurity tools for the EU and on related compliance questions, a global supplier of advanced materials on international data transfers in the context of a corporate transaction, and a leading U.S.-based company in memory and semiconductor technology on EU data protection issues, including cookie compliance and international data transfers.

Jörg also undertakes privacy impact assessments for emerging technologies and implements appropriate compliance solutions. He regularly negotiates data processing agreements and has successfully represented clients in contentious data protection matters.

He is chair of the advisory board of the ICT industry association Trust in Digital Life (TDL). He also was invited to sit as a Legal Expert on a round table by the German Federal Ministry of the Interior during the trilogue negotiations on the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
