Joe Beauchamp has over 20 years of experience covering all facets of intellectual property law. He is widely recognized for his work in IP law, being named a Texas Super Lawyer (a service of the Thomson Reuters Legal division) from 2013 through 2019. He was also named as one of the top overall lawyers in Houston by Reuters from 2016 through 2019.

With a background in engineering, Joe's practice focuses on intellectual property litigation. He has been lead trial counsel in patent litigation matters in a number of technologies, including mechanical and chemical oil field technologies, software, and various automotive applications. He has litigated patent matters in all of the key jurisdictions across the United States, including the Eastern District of Texas, the District of Delaware, the Northern District of California, and before the Patent Trial & Appeal Board. Joe also regularly advises clients regarding the acquisition, management, and licensing of intellectual property assets.

Prior to attending law school, Joe was an environmental engineer for a division of ABB, one of the world's largest power companies. He is a past president of the Houston Intellectual Property Law Association. He was also elected as a counsel member overseeing the Intellectual Property Section of the State Bar of Texas, serving a three-year term from 2015 through 2018.
