Hilda Galvan focuses on intellectual property litigation, chiefly patent litigation. Hilda has litigated complex, high-stakes patent infringement cases in a myriad of technologies, including semiconductor equipment and processes, telecommunications, computer technology, software and internet applications, and circuit design.
Hilda has successfully represented leading technology companies in some of their most important intellectual property matters. She successfully represented IBM in its patent enforcement lawsuits against Amazon.com and Mattel in its defense of a trade secret misappropriation lawsuit. She is currently defending Sercel in a patent infringement case involving seismic data acquisition equipment.
Hilda has repeatedly been ranked and selected by numerous publications, including The Best Lawyers in America (2006 to present), Dallas Business Journal (2010) as one of only 15 top business defense lawyers in North Texas profiled in "The Defenders," and Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business (2004 to present), as one of the top intellectual property litigators in Texas. Chambers' 2008 edition singled out Hilda's reputation as an "excellent litigator" and her "strength in technical matters." She is a board member for Junior Players, has served on the board of directors for the Center for Nonprofit Management and the Dallas Bar Association's Intellectual Property Section, and on the executive committee of the Institute of Law and Technology of the Center for American and International Law. She served as treasurer, director, and scholarship committee chair for the Dallas Hispanic Bar Foundation and as special counsel to the city of Coppell. Hilda has lectured on a range of intellectual property issues.
