Hilda Galvan has extensive experience litigating complex patent cases in jurisdictions nationwide. She has served as head of the Dallas Office IP practice since 2006. Her cases have involved diverse technologies including database and operating system software, data caching, Internet technologies, networking protocols, semiconductor equipment and processes, cellular technology, and analog and digital circuit design. Hilda has successfully represented industry leading companies in critical patent cases including IBM, Motorola, Texas Instruments, Electronic Data Systems, Apple, Nokia, The MathWorks, and Freescale Semiconductor, among others. In addition to her litigation practice, she provides strategic counseling to clients in enforcement and licensing of patent portfolios.
Hilda has been recognized in the intellectual property sections of Chambers USA: America's Leading Business Lawyers (2004 to present), The Best Lawyers in America (2006 to present), and Texas Super Lawyers ("Texas Rising Stars") (2004 to present).
Hilda is a director of the Intellectual Property Law Section of the Dallas Bar Association and a member of the Intellectual Property Sections of the American Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas. She is also on the Executive Committee of the Institute of Law and Technology at The Center for American and International Law. In addition, she has served as treasurer, director, and scholarship committee chair for the Dallas Hispanic Bar Foundation. She is also a member of the Dallas Leadership Class of 1997 and has served as special counsel to the city of Coppell (Texas). Hilda has been a speaker at a number of seminars on topics relating to patent litigation. Prior to entering law school, she was a project engineer for a telecommunications company.
