Françoise Labrousse, who is a well-regarded environmental law specialist and litigator in France, focuses on environmental, energy, life sciences, consumer products, and health and safety-related issues under French, European, and international law. She co-heads the Firm's Government Regulation Practice.

Françoise frequently defends clients in environmental, health and safety compliance investigations, regulatory enforcement actions, and litigation matters before civil, administrative, criminal, and arbitral courts. She has extensive experience on soil and groundwater contamination, air emissions, climate change, waste management, and exposure to asbestos and other dangerous substances or products.

She handles regulatory, environmental, health and safety issues in M&A, real estate, and energy transactions, with a particular emphasis on environmental representations and warranties. Her recent experience includes the handling of environmental issues in the sale by Total of Atotech to The Carlyle Group for $3.2 billion. In the industrial, energy, and pharmaceutical sectors, she handles regulatory procedures for the creation, operation, restructuring, closure, and remediation of facilities and sites and advises on crisis management in cases of industrial accidents, regulatory, or sanitary crises.

As part of the Firm's multidisciplinary team tasked to anticipate and respond to the new challenges facing the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector, she represents manufacturers, distributors, and users of medical devices, pharmaceutical products, cosmetics, chemicals, and general consumer products in regulatory, enforcement, and litigation matters.

Françoise is frequently invited to speak at professional conferences and is the author of many environmental, energy, and health and safety publications.
