Frédéric Gros advises international and French clients, primarily banking institutions, investment funds, sponsors, and industrial and commercial companies in connection with project finance and private public partnership financings (PPP), acquisition finance, and debt restructuring. He leads the Paris Office Banking & Finance Practice.

He recently advised the Ecore/Guy Dauphin Environnement Group in connection with €100 million financing granted in relation to the acquisition of SNT (Société Nouvelle de Transformation) and Paul Négoce, Crédit Agricole Nord de France and the banks in connection with the €370 million acquisition of Kiloutou by PAI Partners, and LCL-Crédit Lyonnais and the banks in connection with the purchase of TWC by L Capital (a private equity firm sponsored by LVMH).

He also advises clients in litigation, particularly derivatives litigation, arising from the financial crisis. He focuses on issues relating to the funding of French local authorities through structured products and on the mediation entrusted to Eric Gissler by the French government.

In addition, he advises the French Ministry of Finance on financing plans and other accompanying measures implemented by the government relating to distressed companies. He counseled the French Republic on the implementation of a government program supporting the shipping sector and in particular the issue of financial guarantees to STX France Cruise S.A. (Chantiers de l'Atlantique) in connection with a €700 million construction financing and bond facility.

Frédéric participated in the French inter-ministerial task force dedicated to the introduction of the trust concept in France and was a member of the French national accounting committee (CNC) in charge of regulating the accounting aspects of the French trust.
