Huawei wins patent appeal and receives its attorneys' fees and experts' costs

Client(s) Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.

A cross-practice team from Jones Day successfully represented Huawei Technology Co., Ltd. before the Federal Circuit and obtained a complete affirmance of the district court's grant of summary judgment of noninfringement, and the district court's award of attorneys' fees and expert-witness costs. As a result of the Federal Circuit's opinion, the patent owner will now have to pay Huawei's attorneys' fees and expert-witness costs.
