Jones Day advised Capital One Bank, N.A. in the financing of the construction of a charter school in Chicago, Illinois. The transaction was structured in part to generate new markets tax credits and involved investments by Capital One in two community development entities (CDEs) and loans totaling $13 million by those CDEs to an affiliate of the Northwestern University Settlement Association.
