Shiseido Americas acquires Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare for $450 million

Jones Day is advising Shiseido Americas Corporation, a subsidiary of Shiseido Co., Ltd., regarding its definitive agreement to acquire DDG Skincare Holdings LLC, the owner of Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare, for $450 million in cash. Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare is an award-winning and innovative skincare line founded by Dr. Dennis Gross, a cancer researcher and practicing dermatologist. The brand is best known for originating the best-selling two-step, at-home chemical peel, the Alpha Beta Daily Peel.

The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2024 and is subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
