David Smith's practice is concentrated on development and investment-related real estate transactions, together with landlord and tenant matters, often in the City of London office market. David has broad experience in dealing with high-value investment purchases, often using complex tax structures, development agreements, preletting agreements, forward funding, and forward purchase agreements. David also has significant experience in the retail and hotel/leisure sectors and in advising on the formation of and management of joint venture vehicles for real estate transactions. Representative clients in recent public matters include Pillar Property PLC, Lioncourt Capital, Shelbourne Developments, Alanis, Hibernian Life and Pensions Limited, Anglo Irish Assurance Company Limited, and syndicates of private overseas investors.
