Dave Maiorana represents clients in the area of intellectual property law, focusing primarily on patent infringement litigation and counseling. He has significant experience in Section 337 investigations before the International Trade Commission, representing both complainants and respondents. He has experience in all facets of patent infringement litigation from pre-complaint investigation to appeals to the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. In addition, Dave has extensive experience defending multiple clients against allegations of false patent marking under Section 292.

Dave also has experience with antitrust/unfair competition claims brought in the context of patent infringement litigation, as well as with alternative dispute resolution of intellectual property matters. As a part of his practice, Dave counsels clients on intellectual property enforcement and defense, including preparing opinions on freedom to practice, invalidity, and inequitable conduct.

Representative clients include Eastman Kodak Company, The Gillette Company, Honda Motor Company, Procter & Gamble, SanDisk, The J.M. Smucker Company, and Yaskawa Electric.

Dave is a member of the International Trade Commission Trial Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association (Intellectual Property Law Section), the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.
