Johannes Willheim befasst sich seit mehr als zwei Jahrzehnten mit internationalen Schiedsgerichtsverfahren und komplexen Rechtsstreitigkeiten von großem Umfang und hohem Risiko. Er verfügt über umfangreiche Erfahrungen in den Bereichen Kartellrecht, Unternehmensrecht und Post-Transaktionsrecht, Energie, Ingenieur- und Bauwesen (EPC und EPCM), Vertrieb, Versicherungen, geistiges Eigentum und Regulierungsfragen. Er berät überdies regelmäßig bei der Schlichtung und Prozessführung in Fällen, die EU-Wettbewerbsrecht, Vertrieb und geistiges Eigentum (einschließlich Patente) betreffen, sowohl auf der Seite der Durchsetzung als auch der Verteidigung. Für einen der weltweit führenden Erdgasproduzenten führt er europaweit große Streitigkeiten über Gaspreisänderungen. Johannes Willheim arbeitet in den Büros der Kanzlei in Frankfurt, London und Paris.

Er fungiert als vertrauenswürdiger Parteiberater für Mandanten vor, während und nach formellen Verfahren sowie als Anwalt in formellen Schiedsverfahren, Rechtsstreitigkeiten und ADR-Verfahren. Johannes Willheim wurde als Schiedsrichter, Mediator und unabhängiger Experte in DIS-, ICC-, VIAC- und anderen institutionellen und Ad-hoc-Schieds- und Mediationsverfahren eingesetzt.

Führende internationale Schiedsinstitutionen wie die Internationale Handelskammer (ICC), das DIS (Deutsche Schiedsinstitut) und das VIAC (Wien International Arbitral Centre) ernennen Johannes regelmäßig zum Schiedsrichter. Er ist ein überprüfter Schiedsrichter des Haager Schiedsgerichts für Luftfahrt (HCAA) und des Schiedsgerichts für Kunst (CFA).

Johannes ist eine Autorität in Fragen der Energiepreise. Als Rechtsbeistand hat er Energieunternehmen entlang der Wertschöpfungskette bei der Liberalisierung der EU-Energiemärkte beraten und vertreten und tut dies derzeit auf globaler Ebene im Kontext der Energiewende. Johannes ist Mitherausgeber und Autor des gar-Leitfadens zu Luft- und Raumfahrtstreitigkeiten und hat zahlreiche juristische Themen veröffentlicht. Dr. Johannes Willheim ist außerordentlicher Professor für internationale Handelsschiedsgerichtsbarkeit am Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution an der Law School der Pepperdine University und Gastdozent für internationale Schiedsgerichtsbarkeit an der University of Chicago Law School und der Universität Stockholm.
