Roy Ginsburg represents private and public companies in employment and commercial litigation. He has more than 35 years of experience as a trial lawyer in employment law disputes, including trade secret misappropriation, usurpation of corporate opportunity, corporate raiding, breach of fiduciary duty, and breach of employment-related contracts such as restrictive covenants (noncompetition, nonsolicitation, and nondisclosure agreements). Roy has successfully defended employment discrimination claims involving sexual harassment, age, disability, and race and gender discrimination. He is well-versed in handling class and multiparty litigation and advises and defends clients on FLSA and state wage and hour issues.

Roy's national experience includes winning verdicts for the defendants in cases in Montana (disability discrimination), California (wrongful discharge and retaliation), and Minnesota (lawsuits involving sexual harassment and related claims). He has handled claims of misappropriation of trade secrets throughout the United States as well. Roy also advises and counsels clients on how to avoid litigation entirely. And if that goal cannot be accomplished, he works with clients to minimize risk and exposure and bring disputes to an expeditious and amicable resolution.

Roy regularly speaks before CLE groups and clients on employment topics. He has created entertaining and informative programs and in many of his seminars integrates television and movie clips to engage the audience. Roy has been a prolific writer throughout his career, including first creating and acting as the editor-in-chief of the award-winning quarterly, the Employment Law Update. He later conceived and began an employment law blog called "Quirky Employment Questions" and was the principal author of its weekly questions and analyses for more than five years.
