Rebecca Kline practices complex commercial litigation, with a focus on internal investigations and defending clients in government-facing inquiries before federal and state agencies, including the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), and the Minnesota Attorney General's Office.
She has substantial experience defending clients in civil and criminal investigations involving fraud, corruption, money laundering, civil rights, and potential violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). She has extensive experience handling responses to government subpoenas and document requests, including in cross-border contexts. She also has diverse federal litigation experience, including briefing and motions practice, offensive and defensive discovery, and witness preparation. In addition to defending clients facing FCPA investigations by the DOJ, she has counseled corporations on FCPA compliance.
Rebecca maintains an active pro bono practice and has represented clients in custody and child support matters and in asylum merits hearings before the Executive Office of Immigration Review.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Rebecca was an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of an international law firm, where she was a member of that firm's complex commercial litigation and white collar practices.
