Six Jones Day lawyers named 2018 "Rising Stars" by Law360

The global law firm Jones Day is pleased to announce that six of the Firm's lawyers are among Law360's "Rising Stars" for 2018. The annual feature recognizes the profession's top legal talent under the age of 40. Mr. Bayuk centers his practice on defending foreign and domestic companies in high-exposure product liability and mass tort lawsuits. He has an active trial practice, serving as trial counsel in 18 jury trials since 2011 — the last eight in a first-chair role. Mr. Bayuk regularly handles class action and multidistrict litigation as well as individual tort actions in state and federal courts around the country, and he represents a diverse range of clients in the pharmaceutical, tobacco, automotive, nutritional/supplements, paint/lead pigment, commercial transportation, and energy industries. Ms. Cartwright focuses on domestic and cross-border private equity deals, often with a focus on real estate. She advises private equity houses on financing rounds and investments as well as dispositions, and has handled a variety of M&A transactions and joint venture-related matters, working across different real estate asset classes.

Ms. Corr-Irvine handles corporate bankruptcy and insolvency-related matters. She represents debtors, creditors, asset purchasers, and trustees in in-court and out-of-court restructurings. Mr. Gleason counsels clients on antitrust matters before U.S. and international enforcement agencies, advising on M&A transactions, government investigations and antitrust litigation. Mr. Wilkes represents clients in the construction, energy, and financial industries in complex civil litigation, advisory and regulatory matters. He has experience leading cases on issues relating to breach of contract, products liability, fraud and fiduciary duty, trade secrets, and tort as well as internal and governmental investigations. Ms. Yadava regularly defends public companies and their officers and directors in shareholder litigation. She also has extensive experience representing companies, including major financial institutions, in complex contractual disputes primarily related to structured products and business combinations.
