Rowan Mason's practice focuses on complex litigation with an emphasis on high-value construction and infrastructure disputes. He has represented private owners, public entities, and general contractors in all stages of litigation and arbitration, primarily involving large delay, breach of contract, and defect claims. Rowan also has experience representing clients in consumer and tort class actions as well as insurance recovery matters.

As part of Jones Day's global construction practice, which was recognized by Chambers USA as the Construction Practice of the Year for 2017, Rowan's construction experience has involved a wide range of large projects including hotels, hospitals, oil and gas facilities, manufacturing plants, sports arenas, and heavy civil works in the United States and around the globe. Many of these projects have included disputes in the hundreds of millions or even billions of dollars.

Through both his construction and general litigation practices, Rowan has developed substantial experience in managing discovery, motion practice, and preparing matters for summary judgment, trial, or arbitration in large disputes. Rowan also has been involved in the earlier stages of construction projects, including contract drafting and negotiation, as well as project advice and counsel.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Rowan interned at a large international construction company, working in field construction and the in-house legal department.
