Paula Batt Wilson concentrates her practice in litigation. She recently represented the audit committee of a public company in an internal inquiry, represented an international energy corporation in the bankruptcy proceedings of a spin-off company, defended a nationwide collective action under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and served on the defense trial team in consolidated federal litigation involving an implantable medical device.
For several years Paula served on the national coordinating counsel team in product liability and public nuisance litigation involving paints and pigments, with responsibilities encompassing corporate, medical, and public health history and the defense of claims of failure to warn and claims of misrepresentations in advertising and marketing. Other representations range from the defense of a financial institution in fraud litigation and of pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in nationwide class action litigation to the defense of utility companies in energy litigation and law firms in legal malpractice cases.
Paula currently serves in the role of Administrative Partner for Jones Day's Cleveland Office. She is a member of the Executive Board of the Lawyers Guild of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland Foundation and a member of the Parish Council of the Church of the Gesu in University Heights, Ohio. An active volunteer for the American Red Cross Blood Services, Paula is the former co-chair of the Donor Recruitment Council of the board of directors of the Northeast Ohio Region. Before practicing law, Paula was a member of the U.S. management team at AFS International/Intercultural Programs Inc. in New York with operational responsibility for the Western United States Region.
