Nancy MacKimm has defended clients for more than 30 years in matters related to environmental and toxic tort litigation. She has substantial experience in groundwater contamination, air emissions, vapor intrusion, damage to natural resources, and other consequences of industrial activity, as well as defending government enforcement actions and citizen lawsuits; litigation related to liability for cleanup costs, property damage, and personal injuries; and insurance disputes relating to such liabilities. She advises clients with respect to environmental criminal investigations and the resolution of environmental liabilities in bankruptcy proceedings.

Nancy's recent work includes the defense in New York state court of hundreds of personal injury, medical monitoring, and property damage claims relating to vapor intrusion, historic air emissions, and groundwater contamination; the defense of a medical monitoring class action; and the defense of cancer claims allegedly arising out of oil exploration and production activities in Ecuador. Representative clients include Bridgestone, Chevron, Dole Food Company, and IBM.
