Mariëlle Daudt has substantial experience advising corporate clients on the employment aspects in complex acquisitions and cross-border restructurings. She co-heads the labor and employment practice in Jones Day's Amsterdam office and has more than 15 years of experience advising companies on multijurisdictional matters, including employee transfers, workforce restructurings, post-acquisition integration, harmonization of employment conditions, and international compliance projects. She advises supervisory and management boards on strategic matters involving works councils and trade unions and has extensive experience in international project management and working with clients headquartered in the United States and in the United Kingdom.

Mariëlle advises and litigates on a broad range of employment law issues involving collective redundancies, post-merger integration, appointment and dismissal of statutory managing directors and executives, management and consultancy agreements, corporate governance, directors' and officers' liability, disputes on post-contractual restraints such as noncompete issues, global/pan-European incentive schemes and equity participation, collective disputes, harassment and discrimination cases, employee participation rights, international secondment constructions and global expat handbooks, as well as fraud investigation cases.

Prior to joining Jones Day in May 2014, Mariëlle was a partner at a global law firm, where she conducted legal proceedings regarding board dismissals and management fraud within the real estate, financial, and transport sectors. She also successfully represented a Dutch multinational commodity service provider for the global agricultural markets in legal proceedings against its former senior traders about long-term incentive claims.

Mariëlle regularly writes for legal magazines and is a frequent speaker at conferences on employment law topics. She also serves as a mentor in the International Women Leadership Programme (sponsored by OSR Legal Training).
