Jim Wooley, a trial attorney and former federal prosecutor, represents businesses and individuals in high-stakes government investigations, criminal litigation, and commercial disputes. He also conducts internal investigations into allegations of corruption, fraud, and other misconduct.

Jim's matters involve antitrust, health care fraud, securities fraud, public corruption, environmental crimes, customs law violations, and other criminal statutes. He regularly conducts global internal investigations related to potential fraud and FCPA violations. He has successfully represented clients in matters before the U.S. Department of Justice, as well as the SEC, DEA, EPA, FDA, OFAC, and other federal, state, and local agencies.

At the DOJ, Jim handled cases involving racketeering, public corruption, murder, fraud, money laundering, and other federal crimes. He received awards for his work prosecuting notable cases, including RICO cases against organized crime families, the landmark forensic DNA case in the U.S., and the largest police corruption case in FBI history at that time. He also served as an Assistant D.A. in Manhattan D.A. Robert Morgenthau's office.

Jim is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He has been appointed to chair the selection committee for the Federal Defender for the Northern District of Ohio, to act as special prosecutor in cases alleging prosecutorial misconduct, to oversee an audit of the Cleveland Police Department Crime Laboratory, and to investigate allegations of fraud within the Cleveland City School District. He is a member of the Public Defender Commission for Cuyahoga County (Cleveland).

Jim was an adjunct professor at Case Western Reserve law school, teaching advanced criminal procedure for 20 years.
