Saad Sarhan's practice focuses on corporate transactional and regulatory matters, including M&A, foreign investment, international transactions, business associations, franchising, and agency and distribution arrangements. He assists clients on a wide range of Saudi laws and regulations, including those relating to the commercial sphere, foreign investment, government tenders and procurement, employment, companies, corporate governance, competition, capital markets, and real estate.
In addition to transactional and regulatory matters, Saad advises clients on Sharia law and has experience in civil, commercial, and administrative litigation before a variety of Saudi courts and administrative tribunals.
Saad's recent experience includes restructuring a group of joint stock companies operating in the petrochemicals industry; drafting client's bylaws, articles of association, and other corporate documents; analyzing the claims of a telecommunications company under joint venture and technology license agreements; analyzing the claims of a global engineering company under an EPCM contract; and advising on the enforceability of foreign judgements and arbitral awards in Saudi Arabia. In addition, Saad regularly advises foreign investors on a broad range of corporate and commercial issues, including licensing, importing, and employment issues.
