Hannah Ward has extensive multijurisdictional experience advising on complex debt capital markets and structured finance transactions, including securitizations, asset-backed security (ABS), commercial and residential mortgage-backed securities (CMBS and RMBS), collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), whole business securitizations, project bonds, asset-based lending (ABL), and related restructurings, defaults, and litigation. Hannah advises all deal parties and has multisector experience that includes energy, infrastructure, retail, aviation, health care, fintech, and ESG (environmental, social, and governance).

Hannah joined Jones Day in 2021 from General Electric, where she was the GE Capital general counsel for international power capital markets and executive counsel for international capital markets. She was responsible for matters such as GE's multibillion receivables securitization programs, leasing programs, equipment financings, export credit agency (ECA) financings, credit insurance, and legacy restructurings. In previous legal and banking roles, Hannah advised on an extensive range of securitizations, covered bonds, project bonds, CLOs, Islamic financings, and structured finance matters and provided advice to corporate trustees. She also works with clients on the interpretation of new regulatory frameworks, negotiations with regulators, the creation of novel investment structures, optimizing distressed transactions, and designing policies and procedures to support good corporate governance.

Prior to General Electric, Hannah was a senior legal counsel at Deutsche Bank and previous to that was a senior associate in the London office of a global law firm, which included secondments to The Royal Bank of Scotland and the firm's Milan office. Before starting her legal career, Hannah completed a stage at the European Commission.
