Jones Day advised a health care company over a period of twelve months in relation to an employee it inherited as part of a transaction. There was very regular correspondence from the employee asserting rights under legacy income protection scheme and disability laws. With careful counseling, the client reached a position where the individual's employment was brought to an end on negotiated terms.
