Lisa Paul-Götzen joined our New Lawyers Group (NLG) in 2024. The NLG provides our newest lawyers with the opportunity to gain exposure to different practice areas and lawyering styles before making a commitment to a specific practice. Individuals in the NLG may focus on a particular area of practice, or compare practices, during their first year with Jones Day.
Lisa completed part of her legal traineeship at Jones Day, where she gained valuable practical experience in complex patent infringement proceedings, labor law, and corporate law. Additionally, she was a legal trainee at the EU Commission in DG Grow, which focuses on economic growth in the internal market.
Prior to her legal clerkship, Lisa worked as a research assistant at the Competition and Regulation Institute of Leuphana University of Lüneburg and later as an academic coordinator at the European Centre of Advanced Studies (ECAS), where her responsibilities included content conception and organization of conferences, as well as shareholders' and academic board meetings.
