Atlanta office hosts program on behalf of Pro Bono Partnership, Inc.

Clients Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta, Inc.

Pro Bono Partnership provides pro bono opportunities to transactional lawyers at corporations and law firms by matching them with nonprofits in need of free legal services within their area of expertise.

On March 16, 2010, four Jones Day lawyers spoke about legal issues facing not-for-profit organizations. Following the seminar, 17 Jones Day lawyers and 12 in-house lawyers from Southern Company and Georgia Power broke out into small groups and each small group met with a nonprofit organization to help the organization identify legal issues facing that particular organization.

Special thanks goes to Elizabeth Kuney and Lillian Caudle who organized and coordinated the event with Pat Roberts from Southern Company and the staff of Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta. In the past year, 14 Jones Day lawyers took on 22 pro bono matters referred by the Pro Bono Partnership.
