Jones Day represented a national bank in connection its historic tax credit equity investment as part of the overall financing stack for the redevelopment of the historic General Electric (GE) factory complex in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The $286 million revitalization will transform the former industrial campus into Electric Works, a lively 730,000+ square-foot mixed-use innovation district. The capital stack for this transaction involved $35.7 million in federal historic tax credit equity from the national bank and another historic tax credit investor, construction and bridge financing and state and federal new markets tax credit financing.
