Applied Medical Resources obtains favorable jury verdict following trial

Jones Day successfully defended Applied Medical Resources Corporation against a lawsuit brought by a former employee who asserted claims for, among other things, disability discrimination, failure to accommodate, failure to engage in the interactive process, failure to prevent discrimination, and wrongful discharge in violation of public policy. After a 15-day jury trial that spanned five calendar weeks, the jury returned a verdict in favor of Applied Medical Resources on all claims asserted by the former employee, and further found in favor of the company on its cross-complaint for intentional misrepresentation.
