Xilinx garners institution of PTAB IPRs of Papst's U.S. patents
Clients Xilinx, Inc.
Jones Day represents Xilinx, Inc. in the prosecution of IPRs of Papst's U.S. Patent Nos. 6,574,759 and 6,704,891. On May 6, 2016, the PTAB provided initial reviews of Xilinx's cases, and instituted trials based on findings that Xilinx had a reasonable likelihood of prevailing in showing that Papst's patents' claims are unpatentable. The claims at issue are related to verification of testing protocols for computer memories (e.g., random access memories). Trials will begin immediately and will conclude with Final Written Decisions by May 6, 2017.
