Veteran has driving privileges restored in Pennsylvania

Clients Davis, James Leon

Through Jones Day’s partnership with Pittsburgh’s Veterans Leadership Program, Jones Day attorneys successfully represented local veteran Jim Davis in restoring his previously suspended driving privileges in Pennsylvania. Mr. Davis had a number of old traffic citations on his driving record that he was required to address before the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation would re-issue him a driver’s license.

On December 9, 2014, Jones Day attorneys successfully argued in Pittsburgh Traffic Court for dismissal of seven citations under the Statute of Limitations. Further, on January 13, 2015, Jones Day attorneys successfully argued a nunc pro tunc motion in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas to allow Mr. Davis to appeal several other outstanding citations. Having successfully addressed all of the citations on his driving record, Mr. Davis was issued a Pennsylvania driver’s license on March 2, 2015.
