Jones Day, in association with ARC Consultants International Pty Limited, was appointed by the Public-Private Partnership Center of the Philippines to provide legal, financial and bid management support on a proposed US$2.82 billion Laguna Lakeshore Expressway-Dike Project.
The Project involved the construction of a 47-kilometer flood control dike on top of which there would have been a six-lane expressway, on an off-shore alignment 500 meters away from the western shoreline of Laguna Lake, including interchanges, bridges, floodgates and pumps, from Taguig to Los Baños. It also included the reclamation of 700 hectares west of and abutting the expressway-dike, separated from the shoreline by a 100-150 meter channel in Taguig and Mutinlupa.
