Technology executive obtains probationary sentence for participation in commercial bribery scheme

Clients Technology executive

Jones Day obtained a probationary sentence, with a condition of home detention, for a technology executive charged by the U.S. Attorney's Office with participating in a commercial bribery scheme. Due to the size of the scheme, which involved payments totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars, all of the other participants in the scheme were sentenced to federal imprisonment. Jones Day was nevertheless able to persuade the sentencing judge, along with the probation office and the U.S. Attorney's Office, that a probationary sentence was appropriate for its client.
