Directors defeat different breach of fiduciary duty lawsuits following four-month trial and on summary judgment

Spanning almost five months and 40 trial days, Jones Day successfully defended its client, a corporate director, in a breach of fiduciary duty lawsuit, winning in addition over $2 million in fees and costs. More recently, Jones Day had a breach of fiduciary duty claim thrown out on a Rule 12b motion, and then ultimately ended the case by summary judgment prior to trial.
