Jones Day's Pittsburgh Office supports troops in Afghanistan
Clients Supporting our troops in Afghanistan
The Pittsburgh Office of global law firm Jones Day is supporting American military personnel in Afghanistan through contributions of comforting foods and words.
"With several members of our co-workers' families stationed overseas, we wanted to do at least something to show our gratitude," said Pittsburgh Office associate John Miller, who spearheaded the effort.
Teams from the Pittsburgh Office are competing to collect the most cookies, candy, gum and other items, along with personally written thank-you notes and cash to fund future shipments. The initial shipment went to the 32nd Aerial Port Squadron of USAF Reserves last month. After the Squadron returns this Spring, another unit will be similarly "adopted."
