Freescale Semiconductor obtains summary judgment on two former employees' claims of age and sex discrimination

Jones Day obtained summary judgment on behalf of its client, Freescale Semiconductor, Inc., on all of plaintiffs' claims of sex and age discrimination under Title VII, the Equal Pay Act and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. Two former female Freescale employees had sued Freescale alleging that they were selected for inclusion in a reduction in force based on their age and sex, and paid differently than men for performing equal work. The Court disagreed, finding that Freescale did not violate any laws in its treatment of plaintiffs.
