Jones Day acted for CITIC International Financial Holdings Limited ("CIFH"), a Hong Kong listed parent of CITIC Ka Wah Bank, in a transaction which involved the privatization of CIFH by way of a scheme of arrangement with its shareholders and an offer by its parent company (the "Offeror") for the publicly held shares in CIFH at a total consideration of approximately US $1.2 billion, payable in a combination of cash and shares in another listed company, China CITIC Bank Corporation Limited.
